The 5° backsweep makes for a compact and aerodynamic position. Our new Compact drops effectively raise the brake hoods, the levers are easier to reach, with small hands in particular. When riding on the hoods the horizontal forward part of the drop makes for an unbroken line with the hoods.
Our TLO series is manufactured to suit your weight and riding style using the best carbon fibre prepeg available (about carbon). This, together with a further refined layering plan with less layers, results in yet another reduction of weight. The effective diameter is 25.9 mm, hence stems from 25.8 mm to 26 mm clamping diameter may be used.
All our handlebars are designed to work with 4-bolt stems.
These thin walled handlebars may be completed with our custom made oversize carbon bar plugs.
Keep in mind that we measure our road bars from the outside to the outside. Our handlebars as standard are not made to be used with triathlon or time trial bars. If you want to use one of our bars with aero bars, please say so when placing your order. The necessary strengthening will add some 8 g to the bar’s weight (compare special handlebars).
For our 25.9 mm handlebar we recommend the Ritchey WCS stem with titanium screws (98 g/110 mm) or the stiffer, albeit slightly heavier, Tune stem. If you want us to ship either of these together your handlebar add 48 € for the Ritchey or 129 € for the Tune stem. For an extra 15 € we will add 6 titanium screws for the Ritchey stem.
If desired, we can also custom make your bar with long ends. All our bars may be shortened at their ends by 10 mm. Trade customers, as a rule, are supplied with standard bars, that’s no time trial bar reinforcement and short bar ends.

"TLO" – " the lightest one". For this line of seatposts and handlebars we simply use the best money can buy, that’s T1000 fibres. Their tensile strength is yet another 16% higher than that of the T800. In addition to that our TLO laminates use yet a more difficult layer structure.
The combination results in numerous world record weights; lighter still than the SL without compromising either reliability or stiffness.
