Shimano XT (Deore XT)

In 1982, the year of its release, the Shimano XT was the first mountain bike component group in the world—and it has remained a dominant force in the high-end mountain bike bike parts category to this day. Only the Shimano XTR group offers more performance.

Current XT drivetrains feature 10-speed gearing for mountain bike and trekking bike use. The trekking version differs by having a crankset equipped with larger chainrings as well as a chain guard ring.

Revolutionary in the Shimano XT is the implemented Dyna-Sys system. This concept ensures closely spaced gear changes and smaller gear shifts at the crank. Additionally, an optional cassette with 36 teeth is offered. The result is a smoother gear ratio for exceptionally high drivetrain performance.
