Shimano Ultegra / Di2

The new Ultegra group is a high-performance component group from Shimano that brings a smile to the face of every road bike enthusiast. The new version is lighter, more precise, and the technology is approaching that of its big brother, the Shimano Dura-Ace group. All in all, the Ultegra is very well-balanced and durable. Compared to the 6600 series, 150 grams of weight have been saved, making it even more attractive to professional road cyclists.

Below is an overview of some of the new features of the Shimano Ultegra group:

- Improved ergonomics of the brake-shift levers provide a more comfortable grip position.
- A new material composition for the brake pads delivers 20% more braking power on dry roads and 100% more braking power on wet roads.
- The wide-link design of the rear derailleur saves weight while increasing stiffness and shifting performance.
- The spring tension of the front derailleur has been increased by 10%, resulting in a smoother and easier shifting experience.

Just like the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 bike parts, the Shimano Ultegra group also comes in a Di2 version. The main difference from the mechanical version is a slightly modified design for electronic shifting. Both the rear derailleur and front derailleur in the Shimano Ultegra Di2 version are connected to a battery, and shifting is activated by a small switch. This guarantees fast and extremely precise shifting in any situation.
