Bar Ends

Order Bar Ends and Handlebar Extensions Affordably at the starbike.com Online Shop

Bar Ends, also known as "handlebar extensions," are attachments for the bicycle handlebars. They are mounted at the ends of the handlebar. Many mountain bikers and trekking cyclists prefer straight Bar Ends, but there are also ergonomically shaped variants.

The main reason most cyclists choose to install Bar Ends is for improved ergonomics and riding technique. By allowing the rider to change grip positions more frequently during longer rides, muscles and joints are relieved. Additionally, different grip positions shift the rider's center of gravity, helping to prevent cramps and muscle tension.

Bar Ends are also advantageous when climbing, especially when the rider stands out of the saddle.

When buying Bar Ends, you only need to make sure that your handlebars are compatible with Bar Ends. If you're unsure whether your preferred handlebar extension fits your handlebar, we’re happy to assist you.

The most common mounting method is external clamping. In this method, the Bar Ends are slid onto the bicycle handlebar and secured with a screw.

High-quality Bar Ends are manufactured, for example, by tune or Ritchey.
