Chorus Ergopower Disc Brake Controls
The fantastic ergonomics that over the years have become a sort of calling card for Campagnolo have been even further improved with the latest introduction of Super Record and Record 12-speed transmissions. Not just ergonomic but also customizable, the new standard is embodied in the design of the Chorus levers. Apart from the brake lever, constructed in aluminum but with a coating that enhances its finish and feel, Chorus Ergopower are almost identical to those on the Super Record and Record controls. The new design of the brake lever hoods, brake lever and bigger gear levers, together with the Ergopower control “reach” that can be adjusted to suit hands of different sizes, make these new components unique and versatile. Campagnolo’s tried and tested one-lever-one-action philosophy prevents unintentional shifts, even during tense competition or due to tiredness. The internal Ultra-Shift mechanism controls the 12-speed rear derailleur, letting the rider shift up by up to 3 sprockets and down by up to 5 sprockets in a single movement. Chorus controls deliver the same extremely durable, soft shifting performance of the other 12-speed groupsets thanks to new cables and their housings.
The controls offer good, safe grip when standing pedaling or when leaning high on the handlebars.
When the chain engages immediately, the front and rear derailleurs can be actioned with minimum effort and in any position on the handlebars.
An unexpected climb, a sudden sprint: instantly finding the right combination takes no time at all thanks to the multiple action guaranteed by Ultra-Shift technology.
Shaped cushioning and an adjustable reach make these controls perfect for any cyclist, regardless of hand or finger size.
Campagnolo brake calipers: powerful, modulable and reliable.
The flat-mount Campagnolo brake calipers ensure powerful, modular braking in any situation owing to pistons measuring 22 millimetres in diameter. Brake pad return guaranteed by the magnetic system ensures that there is no friction at the time of brake lever release. A special metal plate positioned between the pad and the caliper piston, cushions the vibrations during braking.
The different Campagnolo brake calipers were designed to be mounted together with the disc chosen by the rider and to always guarantee the highest level of performance. It is indeed possible to choose the brake caliper with a disc measuring either 140 mm (limited to cyclists weighing no more than 82 kg) or 160 mm in diameter. Careful attention was given to making maintenance and assembly operations easy: the pads have wear indicators and replacing them is facilitated by the absence of physical return springs. Additionally, work was done on the insertion of the disc in the caliper to make changing the wheel easier and faster.
Standard Flat Mount
- Combinations: 160mm front, 160mm rear, 140mm rear
- Weight: 118 g (140mm, pads included)
Fully compatible with flat-mount frames.
22 mm pistons in phenolic resin
Braking force and thermal isolation.
Magnetic piston-calliper connector
Pads return to position rapidly, guaranteeing an overall gap between the pad and disc of 0.4-0.6 mm and zero risk of accidental contact.
Interchangeable spare parts: pads, cylinder, screws, bolts (same for all callipers)
Fully compatible and optimised spare parts, making maintenance practical and reducing the number of components to keep on hand in the warehouse.
It is very easy to see when the pads need to be replaced.
Rounded brake pads
These facilitate disc insertion and speed up wheel changing.
Optimal braking without vibrations.
Two fixing screws
Rapid installation and maintenance.
