Take a quick look at the new X-DOME Eagle cassette. The last dangling shred of an argument in favor of a mountain bike front derailleur is now officially dead. Designed for use with our proven, reliable XD driver body, this 12-speed, 10- to 50-tooth cassette offers an optimal 500-percent gear range at a considerably lighter weight than 2x systems. It carries with it the X-DOME architecture, which, independent tests have concluded, yields the strongest cassettes on the market. New shifting characteristics improve both, inboard and outboard shifting, as well as chain retention.

    • SRAM’s cassette manufacturing technology provides the greatest durability and lightest weight
    • All-new shifting features create a smoother, quieter system with enhanced inboard and outboard shift performance
    • XD driver body compatible
    • 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 24, 28, 32, 36, 42, 50

3 review for SRAM X01 eagle cassette XG-1295 10-50 Dents 12-speed noir with an rating of 4.3/5 point.

    • Works well, doesn't like to downshift many gears at once at low cadence.
I recently used this Eagle cassette in an Evil Wreckoning build. This is my first foray into 1x systems and the first time I'm paying for an SRAM gruppo myself.

The cassette runs quiet and the shifts are true. I have two issues with it though. First, the step between the two lowest gears is substantial. I would have preferred to see this jump be just a little bit narrower and make up for that elsewhere.

Second, I can feel some binding and resistance if I try to downshift many gears all at once at low cadence. I have never had this issue on Shimano systems, even using a modified 11-45 cassette. I have adjusted the B-tension without solving the problem, so this might be a matter of the cassette's design.

I have never owned SRAM before because back in the 1990's I had bad experiences with them on demo bikes and customers' bikes. This new X01 system tells me that SRAM can compete in quality with Shimano while out-innovating them.

    • Quality look no further
After riding this for about a week now I can say how refreshing it is to use this cassette - it pretty much gets you through all the obstacles you can think of. Even when faced with what was an impossible climb, just drop to the 50 toothed cog and climb away - impressive!
Theres so many positive review out there for this, that its hard to go wrong.
The only down site I found is when you back peddle some times when in a higher gear it can start dropping gears but that might just be the fact i haven't got it set up perfect.
