Through numerous tests in the wind tunnel, in the laboratory, and on the road, it has been demonstrated that the Pro One Aero has a 20% lower air resistance compared to the Pro One TT (measured at 45 km/h on a 28 mm wide tire). The Pro One Aero is the result of a collaboration between Schwalbe, Scott, Syncros, and the Swiss engineering firm Radiate. The aim of this project was to develop the best possible aerodynamic tire without compromising on ride performance.
In the wind tunnel, Schwalbe developers optimized the tire shape specifically for modern wide rims, using different constructions for front and rear wheels. The result surpasses even the aerodynamics of the previous benchmark, the 25 mm wide Pro One TT, with a 28 mm wide tire of the Pro One Aero Rear.
