The 303 Firecrest Tubeless for disc brakes was designed under actual conditions and not just in the wind tunnel or on the computer. The result is bombastic. The rim is slightly more cambered than its predecessor and now has an outer dimension of 30 mm, a jaw width of 25 mm and a height of 40 mm. The shaping reduces drag and results in a smoother transition between rim and tire, which gives aerodynamic efficiency a real boost. The wide rim dimension also provides a more stable fit for the tire, which further reduces rolling resistance. The combination of wider tire, larger volume and lower air pressure helps riders save forces immensely. The tire and wheel absorb the vibrations, not the human.
