- The Strada is an extremely comfortable road bike tire that scores on both poor trails and extended tours.
Range of use:
All-rounder for training on the road.
Features:
Race-Series Vulcanized Tubeless Ready with nylon carcass.
Vulcanized tires made of natural rubber score with a very good price-performance ratio and high durability at the expense of comfort and performance. Nylon is a carcass braid that is essentially available in three thread strengths - 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) - and is wrapped around a wire or the aramid bead. The nylon braid is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered (squeezed) between large steel rollers to produce the finished carcass. In bicycle tires, nylon offers a premium cost-benefit ratio due to its low price and comparative ease of processing.
Tubeless-Ready
Perfectly suited for use with tubeless systems: No tube, strong puncture protection and high efficiency.
Vulcanized synthetic rubber
To combine high durability with good riding characteristics, synthetic rubber is boiled and hardened. The result is Challenge's Vulcanized Clinchers: easy running tires with high grip and good comfort at an affordable price. - Rate this product
