Surly Big Dummy Rails black

Dummy Rails support Dummy Bags on your cargo bike, and our Dummy Deck bolts directly to them, stiffening the whole system for a more stable load. Dummy Rails are made of light, strong aluminum and were designed in conjunction with our Dummy Deck and Dummy Bags – each component works best when used with the others.

Like all Surly products, we’ve built in lots of useful details. For example, the deck-attachment bosses stick up from the rails to create space between the deck and rails, providing windows to route tie-down straps and cordage. Threaded bottle cage bosses located at the rear of each rail provide mounting locations for accessories: bottle cages, lights, cameras, pumps, flags, horns, light saber scabbards, disco balls, spittoons, cornucopias, etc. Dummy Rails will work with Surly cargo frames including the Surly Big Dummy, Big Fat Dummy, and Big Easy.
