- SM-RT800 - Center Lock Disc Brake Rotor
The SM-RT800 offers superior heat dispersion over current road-disc systems, due to the benefits of the Ice Technologies Freeza.
Ice Technologies Freeza
Shimano’s Ice Technologies Freeza reduces the heat in your brake system. The unique Freeza 3-layer sandwich rotor construction (steel/alloy/steel) provides stiffness and rigidity through its steel layers, while allowing the heat from braking to radiate quickly through the aluminum core, achieving surface-temperature drops of about 50 degrees Celcius.
When used with the Ice Tech brake pads with cooling fin, temperature drops may amount to about 100 degrees Celcius. This will cause less fading in your brake lever, more intuitive control and excellent overall braking performance.
