Schmolke's seat posts are reinforced where they are loaded by the seat post clamp, so they must not be inserted too far into the frame! Please do not buy a seat post that is too long in order to cut it off! We want to customize the overall length and flex of your seat post as much as possible. Therefore, please measure the extension of the post from the top of the frame to the center of the saddle rails. With this measurement, you can then determine the required overall length of your carbon seat post using the above table. For example, if your exposed seat post length is 170mm, the 280mm seat post is the best for you (length outside the frame in mm 150 – 200). The 250mm seat post would be too short (length outside the frame in mm 125 – 175).
