The Stormchaser singlespeed frameset was designed from the ground up for foul-weather gravel riding. The lightweight aluminum frame features Warbird-like gravel race geometry; Class 5 VRS to soak up the bumps; our all-new sliding Alternator Flat Mount dropouts make singlespeeding simple, and the included derailleur hanger plate adds 1x drivetrain compatibility; and extra tire clearance for mud. The carbon fiber fork is also ready for anything—abrasion plates prevent wear from mud-caked tires, Three-pack mounts offer extra storage for water or gear, and internal cable routing keeps your brake hose and dynamo cable protected from the elements. The Stormchaser singlespeed gravel frameset is an excellent starting point for a bike that performs rain or shine.

The Salsa Stormchaser frameset in black is the perfect foundation for a versatile gravel bike specifically designed for adverse weather conditions and challenging terrain. This lightweight aluminum frame, with geometry reminiscent of the race-oriented Warbird, offers noticeable damping of vibrations and impacts thanks to the Class 5 VRS (Vibration Reduction System). The innovative, sliding Alternator Flat Mount dropouts not only allow for easy conversion to singlespeed, but also offer compatibility for 1x drivetrains with the optional derailleur hanger plate. The generous tire clearance allows for the installation of up to 700c x 50 mm or 650b x 50 mm tires, making muddy passages easy to handle. With fenders, the maximum tire size is still an impressive 700c x 47 mm.

The robust carbon fiber fork is equipped with abrasion plates that protect against damage from mud-caked tires. Additional Three-pack mounts on each fork leg offer flexible attachment options for water bottles or equipment. Internal cable routing ensures a clean look and protects the brake hose and an optional dynamo cable from external influences.

The Stormchaser frameset is well thought out down to the last detail. It has mounts for rear racks and low-rider front racks, making it an excellent choice for bikepacking adventures. Multiple bottle cage mounts in the main frame (two for frame sizes up to 56 cm, three from 57.5 cm) and an additional mount on the down tube provide ample capacity for long tours. Top tube mounts allow for easy attachment of Salsa EXP Series bags. With a weight of only 2608g in size 56 cm, this frame offers the ideal basis for a lightweight and powerful gravel bike that performs in any weather.
