Thanks to just 1340 grams, the Crossmax SL Ultimate is the wheel of which performance-obsessed cross-country racers dream. It was developed it together with top professionals, which it depends on real competitive advantages at World Cups and Olympic Games. And with its ultra-light 29" carbon rim (340 g!), it guarantees lightning acceleration and climbing performance without compromising stiffness and durability.

"Adaptive Lay-up", a special carbon lay-up technology, allows us to manufacture these carbon rims by hand with less material between the spoke holes. The spoke holes themselves are reinforced with strategically positioned layers of carbon, noticeably saving weight without sacrificing stiffness and strength. The lighter rim accelerates faster, climbs more efficiently and feels more agile on the trail. Your carbon top layer gets our new UD² finish and thus an exclusive look AND even greater durability.

Extensive ride testing with pro athletes found 25mm of jaw width to be ideal for light-footed, precise handling and optimized tire grip on fast trails. On more technical trails, some preferred a 30mm jaw width for more control. So we developed both options. Now you have the choice and can even mix the two - for example, with a Crossmax Ultimate 25 as the rear wheel for faster starts and greater efficiency, plus a Crossmax Ultimate 30 in front, which gives you more confidence and control on technical singletrack.

The carbon rims are spoked with 24 straight double-thick spokes each of identical spoke length double crossed to achieve maximum power transmission AND better vertical compliance. The new, lighter Infinity hubs increase lateral stiffness, their lacing ensures optimal power transmission. Our Instant Drive 360 freewheel with two toothed discs guarantees fast power connection and high stiffness at the same time, so you accelerate faster from corners.
The Crossmax SL Ultimate 25 is exclusively in 29" available. It is compatible with a 15x110mm thru axle front and 12x148mm thru axle rear. The scope of delivery includes valves, spare spokes and wheel bags.
