With the new Keo 2 Max Blade LOOK presents the technology of a pedal with composite blade. With that new material, the sensations of engaging and disengaging are located at an intermediary level between a spring pedal and a pedal with a carbon blade.
The use of composite also proposes blades with a greater rigidity scope benefiting from the Blade technology and usable by all the users. The support surface has also been optimised and provides excellent pedalling stability.
"Making the revolutionary technology of blade pedals accessible to all was the prime objective of the new Kéo 2 Max Blade. To achieve that we have been looking for the most appropriate composite material. This also has enabled us to propose a larger tension scope to attract all the cyclists. Numerous elements of the Keo Blade 2 were maintained, such as the axis line or the aerodynamic design. The support surface reminding of the Keo 2 Max was optimised to procure excellent pedalling sensations. In short, the Keo 2 Blade is the successful combination of technological innovation and accessibility. "
A BLADE IN COMPOSITE MATERIAL
- Composite body
- Composite blade for fast and pleasant release
- Chromoly + axle
- Great width and support surface (60mm / 400mm²) - new stack height : 14mm = very good power transfer
- Permanent contact cleat stops = better stability
- Available in 2 tension levels : 8 (silver) / 12 (yellow)
- 120g the pedal (308 g the pair + cleats)
- 2 colours available: black and white
The Keo 2 Max Blade is a composite material injected with glass fibres for smoother engaging than the Keo 2 Max but less radical than a Keo Blade 2. Two versions of the blades are proposed for 2 different tension levels: version 8 and version 12.
A VERY LARGE SUPPORT SURFACE
With a support surface in stainless steel of 400 mm2, the Keo 2 Max Blade is positioned between the Keo 2 Max and the Keo Blade 2 which ensures excellent stability and high efficiency pedalling. That efficiency is also provided by the permanent cleat stops: the shape of the stops at the back of the pedal was designed to fit the shape at the back of the Keo cleats.
A VERY HIGH QUALITY AXLE LINE
The axle used on the Keo 2 Max Blade pedal is the same as on the Keo Blade 2: 2 ball bearings and a needle bearing also guarantee high product reliability. The tests LOOK imposes on its axles are very superior to the EN 14781 / 14766 norms.
