The steel ratchets are larger than previous models, enabling efficient power transfer. Thanks to the innovative design, the bearing can be replaced without specialized tools, and the freehub body does not need to be removed – for easy maintenance and high user convenience.
The larger diameter of the freehub body ensures an optimal fit for the DEG ratchet and is only compatible with hubs that feature the Ratchet DEG system. The seal is placed directly on the freehub for extra protection against dirt and moisture.

DT Swiss Tubeless technology ensures a reliable and comfortable ride by enabling the use of tubeless tires. The tubeless system eliminates the inner tube, reducing the risk of punctures and improving overall handling. The tire can be sealed with sealant to automatically close small punctures. The tubeless setup provides better traction and control as it allows for lower tire pressures without the risk of pinch flats. DT Pro Lock technology ensures particularly stable wheels by injecting a two-component adhesive into the nipple threads. This prevents the spoke-nipple connection from loosening on its own and extends the lifespan of the wheels by 20 times compared to conventional nipples. The adhesive cures in 6-7 hours and allows multiple truing, with the adhesive strength decreasing slightly. DT Pro Lock is suitable for both manual and machine wheel building and works without the need for lubrication. All DT Swiss nipples are available with and without Pro Lock.
