- With this gauge deformations or distortions of a frame can be determined. Place the tool on the steering and seat tube (see illustration) and adjust the button (1) with the adjusting screw to the drop-out. Then place the complete gauge on the opposite side of the frame and you can now see the symmetry of the frame from the button position.
