X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 Center Lock

The X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 Center Lock disc rotor is an evolution of the X-Rotor SteelCarbon 2 model, acclaimed since its 2015 debut among MTB and road enthusiasts. Designed for Center Lock hubs, it ensures direct and efficient compatibility. This superlight, semi-floating disc rotor features a steel braking surface, a carbon fiber inner body, an Al7075 Center Lock specific adapter, a laser-engraved titanium protection plate, and fixing rivets. The rounded CNC-machined edges enhance safety and comply with Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) regulations. The redesigned 1.8 mm thick special steel track improves braking performance, heat dissipation, and pad wear. Grade 5 titanium rivets and washers provide high lightness, strength, and reliability. An extremely low profile lockring offers wide compatibility with hubs equipped with 12, 15, or 20 mm thru-axles.

This disc rotor represents the highest level of technology, combining precision machining with 100% made-in-Italy artisanal assembly. The introduction of the Center Lock variant alongside the six-bolt International Standard fixing addresses market demand. The carbon body has been optimized for the specific Center Lock adapter, providing a lightweight and high-performing system. The adapter includes a laser-engraved titanium protection plate fitting the carbon shape.

The development of the X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 disc rotors was supported by the UAE Team Emirates World Tour team. Professional cyclists tested the discs on Colnago V4RS bikes in challenging conditions, showcasing their performance during the Giro d'Italia.

Compatibility
The X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 disc rotors are compatible with International Standard (six-hole) disc hubs and can be mounted on Center Lock hubs using adapters. They are suitable for any type of pad, with organic pads recommended for optimal performance. It is advised to use new brake pads with new disc rotors. Avoid contamination of pads with oil and lubricants as it results in permanent loss of braking power and necessitates replacement.
