Ergopower Super Record EPS Disc Brake Controls
The shape and functionality of the new Ergopower EPS 12-speed stem from meticulous studies carried out to guarantee the most efficient and effective ergonomics possible.
The shape of the updated brake lever with its new 12-speed design is the result of painstaking studies into hand ergonomics carried out in the Campy Tech Lab to ensure that, together with positioning of the downshift lever, the cyclist has an intuitive, practical, comfortable "control center".
The Ergopower Super Record EPS DB controls incorporate the AMS (Adjustable Modulation System), which allows setting of the desired mode and reach adjustment to position the brake lever an optimum distance from the handlebar.
, namely the option to change several sprockets with in a single shift is now applied to all the 12-speed cassettes. Cyclists can use the MyCampy app to personalize the new Super Record EPS groupset to shift up or down by a maximum of 11 sprockets with a simple click. Again developed thanks to close collaboration between Campy Tech Lab and pro cyclists sponsored by Campagnolo, Multi-Dome technology has achieved the perfect balance between force used and tactile feedback
, allowing cyclists to feel when a gear shifts. The Ergopower control also offers the cyclist total control over how the transmission works thanks to the MODE button (found immediately behind the downshift lever on both right and left-hand controls). The MODE button lets the cyclist check battery charge, make accurate adjustments to gears or derailleur (even while pedaling) and carry out any kind of diagnostic check.
Features & Benefits
The controls offer good, safe grip when standing pedaling or when leaning high on the handlebars
When the chain engages immediately, the derailleurs can be actioned with minimum effort and in any position on the handlebars
An unexpected climb, a sudden sprint: instantly finding the right combination takes no time at all thanks to the multiple action of the control
Shaped cushioning and an adjustable reach make these controls perfect for any cyclist, regardless of hand or finger size.
Campagnolo brake callipers: powerful, modulable and reliable.
The flat-mount Campagnolo brake callipers ensure powerful, modular braking in any situation
owing to pistons measuring 22 millimetres in diameter. Brake pad return guaranteed by the magnetic system ensures that there is no friction at the time of brake lever release.
A special metal plate positioned between the pad and the calliper piston, cushions the vibrations during braking.
The different Campagnolo brake callipers were designed to be mounted together with the disc chosen by the rider and to always guarantee the highest level of performance. It is indeed possible to choose the rear brake calliper with a disc measuring either 140 mm or 160 mm in diameter and to use a specific 160 mm front calliper. Careful attention was given to making maintenance and assembly operations easy
: the pads have wear indicators and replacing them is facilitated by the absence of physical return springs. Additionally, work was done on the insertion of the disc in the calliper to make changing the wheel easier and faster.
Features & Benefits
Standard Flat Mount
- Combinations: 160mm Ant. 160mm Post. - 140mm Post
- Weight: 115g (140mm, 1 pzpads included)
Fully compatible with flat-mount frames.
22 mm pistons in phenolic resin
Braking force and thermal isolation.
Magnetic piston-calliper connector
Pads return to position rapidly, guaranteeing an overall gap between the pad and disc of 0.4-0.6 mm and zero risk of accidental contact.
Interchangeable spare parts: pads, cylinder, screws, bolts (same for all callipers)
Fully compatible and optimised spare parts, making maintenance practical and reducing the number of components to keep on hand in the warehouse.
It is very easy to see when the pads need to be replaced.
Rounded brake pads
These facilitate disc insertion and speed up wheel changing.
Optimal braking without vibrations.
Two fixing screws
Rapid installation and maintenance.
