- Use this gauge to center wheels 24" - 29". Turn the adjusting screw until the two measuring surfaces of the gauge begin to lift slightly off the rim flank when the gauge is placed on the wheel as shown in the illustration. Then place the gauge on the opposite side of the wheel and you can now see the axial symmetry of the wheel.
