For decades, SIGMA chest belts have been taking ECG-accurate heart rate measurements for our bike computers and sports watches. The new R1 BLUE expands the range to include a further product. The R1 BLUE ensures that every heart beat is recorded with utmost precision with a measuring range of 30 to 240 beats per minute.
Battery status :
The R1 BLUE transmits the battery status.
Battery life of over 1.3 years:
Thanks to the energy-saving Bluetooth SMART technology, the R1 BLUE’s battery lasts for approx. 1.3 years.
The battery compartment can be simply opened using a coin, making it easy to independently replace the standard CR 2032 button cell battery.
RR intervals in milliseconds for determining the heart rate variability:
All cardiac muscle contractions are preceded by a wave of electrical excitation. In ECG, the clearest sign of excitation for a heartbeat is the R-wave, which is precisely what the R1 BLUE detects. The temporal gap between two heartbeats (R-waves) is known as the RR interval and differs in length. The R1 BLUE measures the RR interval in milliseconds and outputs this for heart rate variability (HRV) evaluations.
