  • Lightning fast with Thunder Burt

The tire development goal was to combine the best of Racing Ralph and Furious Fred.

At less than 400 g, the weight is almost exactly in the middle.

With its many small lugs Thunder Burt is close on the heels of Racing Ralph regarding grip and in terms of rolling resistance its even better than Furious Fred.

    Triple Star Compound MTB
Our best and most sophisticated compound. Triple compound. Perfectly adapted to the specific purpose.
    SnakeSkin
One of our most effective inventions for Mountainbikes. SnakeSkin fabric adds only ca. 40-50 g per tire. This makes it the most practical protection against sharp rocks that can easily cut the side wall of light racing tires. SnakeSkin - in rocky terrain it is a great call!

    Tubeless Ready
No tubes. Schwalbe Tubeless Ready tires make it possible. With three advantages weight, puncture protection and low rolling resistance.

    27.5'
The new wheel size is now fully established. Larger wheels bring better performance! Anywhere the 29" wheel size is too large, e.g. smaller frame sizes and bikes with a lot of travel, the in-between 27.5'' size is the best call.

    L.S.T.
The tire bead is specially coated with a rubber mixture that reduces the risk of the tire slipping around the rim.

Light, rolls super fast, corners very close to ra/ra in the right conditions.
I have used a set of these tyre in the snakeskin version and have to say they are incredibly grippy in dry to semi moist conditions. perfect for marathon style races or smoother courses. I ran my set around 25psi font and a little more in the back and they peformed well the only thing is being a 2.1 they are a little too light on for gnarly courses. The back wore fairly quick but I have done about 500k on it in all up and its still about 30% tread left, front looks new. The bit of extra wear and being more susceptible to the occasional rim ding running lower pressure is well worth the amazing acceleration you get, if you want speed and lightness get this in snakeskin.
