Our Vial sets the benchmark when it comes to stiffness of the bottom bracket and comfort. Considerably raising the bars without accepting losses at another point do not work without new concepts.
Everything should improve. This is why the Vial and Vial evo also differ so much in terms of appearance. The improvement of the already very high level of comfort and the aerodynamics resulted in the shrinking of many tubular cross sections. In order to provide once more stiffness in the bottom bracket and the steering head at a maximum level, we placed structures at certain points of the frame.
These efforts were worthwhile with regard to the weight. Comfort is more important than lightness. Of course, our Vial evo is one of the lightest frames worldwide, but it should provide for a relaxed bicycle ride on longer tours.
This is why the chainstays and the seatpost tube feature a particular design, a design that makes a vertical flex possible at all.
The diameter of the bearing of the lower control bearing was reduced to 1 ¼“ as such forks offer remarkably more flex exactly there where you need it. At the same time, the head tubes get bigger and provide for a relaxed posture in the upper handlebar without spacers. An extra for your racing bike in terms of appearance.
- Steerer : 1 1/8“ – 1 ¼“ tapered
- Bottom bracket : BB 386
- Better aerodynamics, cable routing inside the frame, Di2 compatible
- Seatpost diameter = 27.2mm
